Local Literary Magazine Seeking Submissions


I recently received a flyer from a friend for Halicarnassus, a self proclaimed "start-up literary magazine" based in Allentown. This new publication - the first edition is set to print in spring - is accepting submissions until March 1.

Writers can submit short stories, poetry, plays, non-fiction essays, illustration/comics and photography. Up to 3 submissions allowed per person, 6000 word count max.

Here are more details: Please do not submit previously published or otherwise copyrighted work - and - let the magazine know if your piece has been simultaneously submitted to another publication.

Attach written submissions in Word format and photography/illustration submissions in Adobe PDF format (300 dpi minimum) and send to:


Specify the type of submitted work in the SUBJECT of the email.
