Meeting Notes 8/29/09

Thanks to all who attended the August meeting, it was a fun time. We had a nice turnout, even though several Chensters are vacationing at this time. Our group keeps growing with new faces at each meeting! Gianni had a fun time with the Neyen kids.

I addressed the group with info from Sarah regarding "Hamilton For Rent." If anyone is interested in showing work in the vacant Holiday Inn windows at 9th and Hamilton, please contact Yodi or Sarah. We are planning on having art work there to be viewed during the Sept. 11th Bike Race.
Marilyn Hazleton announced that she is compiling the poetry from our Velocity Show and would like to post it here at the blog. Great idea!

I also mentioned that our group was invited to participate in the Halloween Event on 7th St. and that maybe we could coordinate a Fall Gallery Show. When Pete returns from Greece, we should start making plans and discussing options.

Next meeting is planned for Saturday Sept. 26th
If anyone has any announcements or thoughts please comment here.

Thanks,

The New Hope Arts Center is a non-profit, 10,000 sq. ft. facility in the heart of town, currently under renovation for occupancy beginning August 1, 2009. The center will offer artists and craftsmen an opportunity to lease studio space and sell their work directly to the public through a centralized art exhibition center.
